Job Overview
UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Threat Intelligence Manager to lead enterprise threat intelligence operations across collection, monitoring, and online threat intelligence functions. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing threat detection activities, open-source intelligence (OSINT) collection, risk escalation processes, and the protection of executives, employees, facilities, and business operations.
This position is National Remote, allowing employees to work from anywhere within the United States. However, applicants residing in the Minneapolis, Virginia, Maryland, or Washington, D.C. areas may be required to work in an office a minimum of four days per week. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in intelligence, investigations, threat analysis, or security operations and a proven ability to lead analytical teams in high-tempo environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage threat intelligence analysts and monitoring teams
- Oversee OSINT collection, monitoring, and threat detection activities
- Monitor online platforms for threats targeting executives, employees, and company assets
- Establish operational standards, documentation practices, and escalation procedures
- Manage analyst training, onboarding, development, and performance
- Coordinate threat triage, intake, investigations, and incident response support
- Ensure accurate threat documentation and case management processes
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives for threat intelligence programs
- Support after-hours incident response and elevated threat situations as needed
- Drive operational excellence across enterprise threat monitoring functions
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 6+ years of experience in intelligence, investigations, threat analysis, or security operations
- 2+ years of leadership or management experience
- Experience managing operational monitoring or investigative teams
- Knowledge of OSINT collection methodologies and intelligence lifecycle processes
- Familiarity with social media monitoring tools and digital investigations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
